1. Treasurer’s Report
- Currently $2505.31 total funds
- $135.93 – joinit Fee
- $4.76 – Paper statement fee
- Chris to follow this up as we don’t need them
- Chris is thinking of replacing the join it system for something he is going to develop
- He will formulate a plan and give more details but will save $1500 a year
3. Talbotville Debrief
- It was pretty good, usual drive to Blue Rag
- Didn’t have any challenges worth noting
- Need to think about adding the possibility of adding an exploration day to avoid a repeat of the same thing each year
- Chris said something that was raised, perhaps choosing a different campsite – reasonably easy to access from the road
- Chris suggested Italian flats – close to dargo and there are tracks going out of the campsite heading east
4. Issues around members
- Chris says there is an issue – with people who joins our events not being members – he put this through to the public officer to follow up
- There is potential for more members to join if there is more specific content
- Need to revisit our policy for signing wavers for non-members – every adult (learners are under supervision of the supervising driver)
- Need to streamline the process for onboarding people who aren’t members
- Need to make sure our paperwork whether digital or not needs to be up to date incase something goes wrong.
- Need to make sure that people messaging chris for things that could be filteed through the club have other avenues to reach us
- Possibility for people to sign up as a temporary member on the day
5. Other Business
- Should we officially change the meeting time to 7:30? Agreed and voted – Sara to change the time in Discord
- Chris proposed that no meeting in Jan – agreed and voted
- Will talk in the December meeting about potential dates for Feb meeting as meeting is in the same time as Portland trip
- Jason seems to think that the dune buggy club was waiting for their AGM to let us know costings for the event
- Chris is planning to go straight out to big desert when the Denza comes in
- Steve is going to do a club event for Robe – he put an expression of interest up
- Random chitchat about other potential trips
- Discussion around the potential to move the Aus day beginner day to another weekend if Aus day falls on the long weekend
